It’s Bananas; B-A-N-A-N-A… Bread!

With my recent love of baking (sparked this past couple years), I have to share another recipe with you guys. After trying a few different ones from Pinterest, I’ve perfected it. It’s moist, it’s sweet, it’s warming, and it’s chocolatey; in this house, we don’t believe in banana bread without chocolate chips. Also, no nuts – go nuts!!


The Dry and Gooey Stuff:
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips
3 VERY Ripe Mashed Bananas

The Wet Stuff:
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
1 Whisked Egg
1/4 Cup of Milk of choice (2% Fairlife is what I use)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract



Preheat Oven to 350

Add the bananas, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and chocolate chips and lightly mix them up in a mixing bowl (I use a hand mixer cause it’s easy but it’s definitely not necessary; a sifter works just fine)

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg then add in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Once that is all mixed, add it into the dry and gooey mix and mix it all together until it’s smooth

Grease a 9×5 loaf pan; pour the mixture in to that

Bake at 350 for an hour to an hour and 20 minutes (until it passes the toothpick test). The loaf pan I used is glass so it takes a little longer to bake than a tin one I feel like but it’s soooo worth the wait.
